How to play

Type a five-letter English word and press Enter. Each guess must be a real word from our dictionary.

After each guess the tiles change color: green means the letter is in the right spot, gold means it is in the word but in another spot, and grey means it is not in the word.

Everyone gets the same word on the same day (by your device's date). Your streak and stats are saved on this device.

Word lists: answers from SCOWL (Copyright 2000-2018 by Kevin Atkinson; used under its permissive license, which allows use, copying, modification and distribution provided the copyright and permission notice are kept) and guesses checked against the public-domain ENABLE word list.
