TrendCanopy Editorial Team is the shared byline for every article on this site. We use one team byline on purpose: we do not publish under invented names or made-up credentials.

How our articles are made

• Topic selection. We look at what people in the United States are searching for and discussing (for example Google Trends, major news sites and public social trends) and pick stories where a clear, sourced explainer is useful.
• Research and drafting with AI assistance. Drafts are researched and written with the help of AI tools, following Google's guidance on AI-generated content: the goal is helpful, accurate content for people, not content made to manipulate search rankings.
• Editorial review. Before publication, the team checks every key fact, number and name against the sources linked in the article. Each article ends with a list of those sources, and shows when it was published and last updated.
• No invented material. We do not invent quotes, statistics or people. Quotes appear only when they can be traced to a linked, reputable source.
• Images. We use only images we are allowed to reuse (for example Wikimedia Commons files under Creative Commons or public-domain terms) or original graphics we make ourselves, and we credit them under each image.
